OUR TAIL...

Once upon a time, in 2003, 5 women in St. George got the idea to rescue and re-home cats and dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized, due to lack of space in shelters…and P.A.W.S. (Providing Animals with Support) was born! P.A.W.S. is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization that relies solely on donations and volunteers. Since 2003, we’ve rescued over 17,000 cats and dogs…655 in 2020 alone!

OUR PURR-POSE

Our purpose is to rescue animals who are scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at shelters. These cats and dogs are placed in foster homes, or kept at our adoption center, until quality, permanent homes are found for them.

Our mission is to decrease euthanasia rates at regional shelters, help less fortunate animals of sound temperament find quality, “forever” homes and educate the public about the humane care of animals with the overall goal of reducing animal overpopulation and animal cruelty.

Proceeds from our thrift store sales go directly to providing the animals we rescue, with medical care and a secure, loving place while waiting for new homes.

When shopping at our thrift store, you will find a variety of unique, one-of-a-kind treasures, including new and pre-owned clothing, home décor, furniture, art and more. We work hard to provide a clean, organized and fun environment for our customers. Several new items are put out daily, so there is always something new to see and buy!

We are also animal friendly, so all well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to shop in our thrift store, as long as they are accompanied by their human!

ONE HUMAN’S JUNK IS . . .

The P.A.W.S. thrift store depends entirely on the generosity of the community and fellow “animal lovers”. Without your donations we would not be able to do what we do and continue the P.A.W.S. mission. Please think of the animals when downsizing, moving, post-yard sale or just redoing your home.

Your “gently used” items are gratefully accepted during our store business hours and someone on our staff will be happy to assist you.
